Andrew McDonald was in match winner form once again to help the Leicestershire Foxes seal a six wicket victory over the Worcestershire Royals in their top of the table clash at New Road.
The Australian scored a quick fire half century to help the Foxes over come a spirited fight back from the Royals who made the visitors work for victory despite setting them a victory target of just 131.
Having batted first the Royals were indebted to Gareth Andrew (54) who scored a vital half century to help the visitors record a total of 130-7 after they had been reduced to just 64-6 at the end of the 11th over.
Andrew watched on as Harry Gurney (24-2) and Matthew Hoggard (13-2) ripped through the Royals top order before he came to the crease and shared a vital 7th wicket stand of 60 with Ben Scott (22) to help the Royals set the Foxes a run chase of 131.
Despite losing McDonald (53) in the 15th over, James Taylor (22) and Abdul Razzaq (16) sealed the Foxes 6th victory in this years tournament to strengthen their chances of securing a place in the Friends Life t20 quarter finals.
