Geraint Jones and Sam Northeast shared a 6th wicket stand of 57 to help the Kent Spitfires seal a 5 wicket victory over the Glamorgan Dragons at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury.

The pair came together in the 13th over after the Spitfires had stumbled to just 88-5 in their attempts to chase down the Dragons total of 138-6 thanks to three quick wickets from Robert Croft.

Northeast led the way; smashing 35 runs from just 24 balls while the former England wicket keeper Jones, scored 29 runs from 21 balls to seal victory which all but ends the Dragons hopes of reaching the quarter finals.

Having batted first, Alviro Petersen (33) and Graham Wagg (24) led the Dragons run chase, the visitors suffered a middle order collapse which restricted their total despite a 7th wicket stand of 32 between Mark Wallace (8) and James Harris (17).
