Murray Goodwin smashed a quick fire hundred to help the Sussex Sharks seal an 11 run victory over the Surrey Lions to seal a home game in the Friends Life t20 quarter finals.
Goodwin (100) smashed nine boundaries and three sixes to record a 59 ball century as he completed his second century of his t20 career to deny the Lions their place in the quarter finals.
Matt Prior (26) and Naved-ul-Hasan (22) offered support to help the Sharks record an imposing total of 178-8 to leave the Lions facing a tricky run chase at the County Ground in Hove.
Jason Roy (50)and Tom Maynard (46) got the Lions reply off to a perfect start but with wickets falling at regular intervals the Lions came up just short to leave them still searching for the first quarter final experience since 2006.
