The Warwickshire Bears hope that former England batsman Nick Knight will pass a late fitness test and take his place for this evening's Twenty20 Cup match against Gloucestershire.
Knight missed the victory over Northamptonshire on Tuesday and Wednesday's home defeat by Glamorgan because of a groin injury sustained in the Championship defeat by Lancashire two weeks ago.
He failed fitness tests before both Twenty20 matches but Warwickshire are optimistic that he will have recovered sufficiently to face Gloucestershire at Edgbaston at 5.30 pm.
