Glamorgan's bid to return to winning ways in the Twenty20 Cup was ruined by the great British summer last night.
Only three overs were possible in the Glamorgan-Warwickshire clash at Sophia Gardens, with rain proving the overall winner after the floodlit game was abandoned.
'You have to consider the safety of the players because if someone slips over and snaps their ankle it's not a great advert for the game,' admitted Glamorgan captain Robert Croft.
'If the conditions aren't right you come into the realms of danger.'
Glamorgan's single-point return from the washout saw them concede top spot in the Midlands/West/Wales Division to Northants.
Croft's men now face the leaders in a top-of-the-table clash at Wantage Road on Friday, before facing key matches with Gloucestershire and Somerset next week.
