Unbeaten Nottinghamshire were sent packing by bottom-of-the-table Derbyshire at Trent Bridge in the Twenty20 Cup.
Chris Reads decision to chase Derbyshire's total proved costly as Nottinghamshre struggled to 154 for 8 as Derbyshire recorded their first win in this years Twenty20 Cup.
Put into bat by Read Derbyshire started brightly before Chris Bossano was caught by Chris Read for 9 at the end of the second over off the bowling of Harris.
The loss of Bossano brought Byrant to the wicket who went onto enjoy a partnership of 76 with Jon Moss before Samit Patel knocked down Bryants middle stump.
The score had reached 115 when Moss took control of the situation and decided Derbyshires run rate wasn't good enough but he could only watch on as his decision to go for a second run caused Hassan Adnan to be run out for 7. Moss's next and final contribution to the Derbyshires total was to sky the ball to Read for 68.
With Moss gone Greame Welch and Ant Botha steered Derbyshire to a respectable 163 for 7.
Chasing totals is never easy and for the second successive game the Nottinghamshire openers failed to make a partnership as Jason Gallian was caught for 1 by David Taylor of the bowling of Mohammad Ali.
Kevin Pietersen and Paul Franks put on a partnership of 53 before Franks was bowled by Welch for 17. The loss of Bryant and then Pietersen saw Mark Ealham come to the wicket but he couldn't reproduce the heroics of Wednesday night against Yorkshire as he went for 7.
