Skipper seeking Twenty20 perfection

Gloucestershire may have emerged as one of the more effective exponents of the Twenty20 Cup format this summer, but their captain believes they can still find room for improvement.
As such, Jon Lewis will call upon his teammates to smarten up their act in the field ahead of tonight's summit meeting with Glamorgan beneath the Sophia Gardens floodlights (7.10).
Although a sequence of five successive wins has put Gloucestershire top of their group, Lewis is still seeking perfection.
Looking ahead to tonight's contest in Cardiff, he said: "We can still play this game better than we have been.
"Don't get me wrong, I've been pleased with most aspects of our performance and we've played some really good, positive cricket. But there is always room for improvement and I think our fielding has let us down at times.
"We've dropped catches in just about every game and we know we cannot afford to do that when we find ourselves in a knockout situation a bit further down the road.
"I said at the start of the season that I wanted us to work particularly hard in this area and I generally back us to be one of the better fielding sides in the country. But we've missed a few chances, and, in pressure situations, we need to show more composure.
"Our conversion rate on catches is excellent in practice and we now need to transfer that to the matches themselves."
Victory over Glamorgan tonight and in their final qualifying fixture against Northants in Bristol tomorrow will enable Gloucestershire to finish on top of the Midland, West and Wales group.
At stake is a home tie in the quarter-finals, to be played on Monday, July 24.
"Home advantage is proving to be very important in this competition and we back ourselves to beat anyone at Bristol," added Lewis.
"Our fate is in our own hands and I would like to see us kick on and win the group if we can.
