The composition of the quarter-finals of the Twenty20 Cup was decided tonight after the final round of matches.
Yorkshire's seven-wicket victory over Lancashire at Headingley was enough to secure their first participation in the quarter-finals as they claimed one of the best losers' slots behind Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire in the North Division.
Ronnie Irani hit an unbeaten century against Sussex as Essex guaranteed top spot in the South Division with a four-wicket victory at Hove.
Surrey leapfrogged Kent into second place with a 60-run victory at Canterbury although both sides joined Irani's team in the last eight, Kent having an agonising wait to see if they were a lucky qualifier.
Gloucestershire and Northamptonshire complete the make-up with Warwickshire missing out in the Mid/Wales/West Division despite an 11-run victory over Worcestershire.
