The draw for the Quarter Finals of the Twenty20 Cup was made live on Sky Sports and the plum tie will see Surrey travel to Bristol to take on Gloucestershire.
Elsewhere Darren Gough will face his former club after Essex were drawn against Yorkshire in the quarter-finals of the Twenty20 Cup.
2004 Champions Leicestershire will face Kent who despite losing to Surrey by 60 runs ended the South Divsion in 3rd place and qualified as one of the two best 3rd place teams.
The other tie will see Nottinghamshire take on Northants at Trent Bridge.

Yorkshire's seven-wicket victory over Lancashire at Headingley was enough to secure their first participation in the quarter-finals as they claimed one of the best losers' slots behind Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire in the North Division.
Ronnie Irani hit an unbeaten century against Sussex as Essex guaranteed top spot in the South Division with a four-wicket victory at Hove.
Surrey leapfrogged Kent into second place with a 60-run victory at Canterbury although both sides joined Irani's team in the last eight, Kent having an agonising wait to see if they were a lucky qualifier.
Gloucestershire and Northamptonshire complete the make-up with Warwickshire missing out in the Mid/Wales/West Division despite an 11-run victory over Worcestershire.
