Worcestershire v Somerset
Number 3 Gareth Batty was the star turn as Worcestershire were put in. The England spinner hammered 87 from just 48 balls, which was the only difference between a poor score and an average one of 161-5, with no other batsman really firing. The key over to turn the game came when Keith Parsons was introduced, and promptly hit for 27 runs before being hastily removed from the attack.
Parsons' bad day continued when he scratched around for 10 balls to score just 3 runs as Somerset were reduced to 57-6, with 5 different bowlers notching as well as a run out. The game was up, and although Wesley Durston and Aaron Laraman battled gamely, Nantie Hayward returned to polish off the tail as they were dismissed for 124.
