Middlesex's Twenty20 Cup clash with Sussex was called off because of heavy rain in Richmond.
The umpires made a final inspection at 7.05pm and decided the match could not be played in the wet conditions and consequent poor light.
Both teams lost their opening games in the South Division and claimed a point each from this wash-out.
