Warwickshire v Northmptonshire

Johann Louw recorded the most economical bowling in Twenty20 Cup history to set Northants on course for a four-wicket win over Warwickshire. But it took some big hitting from Graeme Swann (35) to complete the Steelbacks' first win of the campaign. Louw took 2-6 in four overs to restrict the Bears to 123-7, Jonathan Trott making 39 and Trevor Penney 32. Australian spinner Brad Hogg claimed 3-12 but had bowled out when Swann hit his second six with an over left. Northants are out of contention for a quarter-final spot but Warwickshire's hopes of a smooth passage were upset and they now trail Worcestershire in the Midlands/ West/ Wales Division.
