Glamorgan v Gloucestershire

The Gloucestershire Gladiators suffered a dismal setback to their chances of reaching the Twenty20 Cup quarter-finals when they went down by 10 wickets against the Glamorgan Dragons at Sophia Gardens tonight.
It means Mark Alleyne's side need to beat Somerset at Taunton tomorrow in their final group game to ensure a place in the last eight.
Bowled out for only 128, the Gladiators could not stop the Dragons openers - Matthew Elliott (52no) and Robert Croft (62no) - plundering the 129 needed in only 12.3 overs.
Gloucestershire had been indebted to an eighth-wicket partnership between Alleyne and Jonathan Lewis - released to play by England - worth 68 in eight overs, which appeared to put a competitive score on the board.
The stand took Gloucestershire from the desperate straits of 57 for seven to 125 for eight.
The visitors had started well enough, taking 20 off the first two overs after being put into bat by Croft on a pitch which had been under the cover all day.
Craig Spearman set Gloucestershire on their way with a big six over long-on off David Harrison's first over.
But Glamorgan, despite being out of contention for the quarter-finals, fought back to demolish Gloucestershire's top order.
It was the Harrison brothers - David and Adam - who caused most of the problems in an improved fielding display from Glamorgan.
When Alleyne and Lewis came together it looked unlikely Gloucestershire would reach three figures. But the pair cracked 36 in four overs before Gloucestershire lost their last three wickets for the addition of just three runs, leaving 11 balls of the innings unused.
Glamorgan went about their reply in positive fashion, with Elliott in majestic form as he cracked seven early fours and Croft bludgeoning three sixes in a 37-ball half-century.
Croft's second six over long-off saw Glamorgan reach 98 for none in 10 overs as Alleyne ran out of ideas to stem the run rate.
Elliott hit the winning runs - going to a 36-ball half-century in the process as Glamorgan won with 45 balls to spare.
