Essex v Surrey

Ronnie Irani hammered 32 off 14 balls as Essex won a five-over thrash against Surrey by one run to keep their Twenty20 Cup hopes alive.
If was a mircale the game ever got played, rain having soaked the outfield well before play started around 9.30pm with drizzle still falling.
Having been put in, Irani and fellow opener James Middlebrook (23 from eight balls) got on with things straight away.
Essex posted 71 for three from their five overs and Surrey appeared to be struggling until Azhar Mahmood smashed 26 from Danish Kaneria's over.
The Lions needed 16 off the last over, bowled by Middlebrook, and after a loose ball down the leg side resulted in five wides, Surrey looked favourites, needing eight from the last four balls.
However, they couldn't find the boundary and they could take just two from the last ball when four were required to leave the hosts winners by the smallest of margins.
