Surrey v Sussex
Naved-ul-Hasan had a great match for Sussex, but despite their victory against Surrey at The Oval, the Sharks failed to reach the quarter-finals.
Surrey, batting first, scored 144-8, with Azhar Mahmood making the crucial contribution of 40 not out.
Naved took 2-17 in his excellent four-over spell and Ian Ward's 50 gave Sussex the early impetus chasing.
However Mahmood took two wickets and it was left to Naved to secure the win with a six in the final over.
Sussex were left ruing the Twenty20 playing regulations, as they failed to make the last eight despite finishing with a better net run rate than Derbyshire.
Derbyshire went through with four wins against Sussex's three, but Sussex had had three games washed out.
