Hampshire and Essex fell foul of the weather in the Twenty20 Cup for the second time in the space of 24 hours.
Their match at the Rose Bowl had been abandoned without a ball being bowled and Wednesday's return at Chelmsford fell victim to a torrential downpour.
Hampshire had made 151 for nine from their allotted overs, Greg Lamb scoring 67 from 54 deliveries and Craig McMillan adding 35 from just 15 balls.
Leg-spinner Danish Kaneria was Essex's most successful bowler with 3-27.
