Leicestershire v Lancashire
Steven Croft hit the last ball of the match to the boundary as Lancashire sealed a five-wicket win at Leicester.
John Sadler struck two sixes to take the Foxes to 160-6 from their 20, and when Lancashire lost Stuart Law for 58 from 40 balls, 62 were needed from 46.
That lengthened to 28 off 12, but Croft hit Dinesh Mongia for six and four as 18 came from the penultimate over.
It came down to three required from spinner Jeremy Snape's final ball, but Croft backed away to loft over cover.
In true Twenty20 innovative fashion, there was a yellow taxi positioned on the mid-wicket boundary, with a charity to benefit should it be hit on the full.
That was not achieved, but Darren Maddy hit the roof of the public address tent when he launched Newby like a Tiger Woods wedge for the first six in the fourth over.
Robinson brought up the 50 in the sixth over but the introduction of spinners Simon Marshall and Gary Keedy slowed the rate down.
Oliver Newby, having conceded 18 from his first two overs, returned with two wickets in two balls caught on the boundary, but Sadler sliced him over the ropes twice before he was hit in the throat by a short ball.
Law raced to fifty from 33 balls and Kiwi Nathan Astle added a fluent 38.
Astle hit two fours in three balls off David Masters before the seamer responded with a superb inswinging slower ball.
That seemed to have tipped the balance, but Croft, in only his second Twenty20 match, had the final say.
"We know he's got the ability to hit a boundary at the end and he proved it," Lancashire skipper Mark Chilton said.
