Middlesex v Kent

An almost full house at Lords witnessed the Middlesex Crusaders abysmal Twenty20 Cup form continue as the Kent Spitfires condemned them to a 17 run defeat.

In four games at the home of cricket the Crusaders have yet to taste victory having lost three times to Surrey and now to Kent.

Neil Dexter and Darren Stevens got the Spitfires off to the perfect start scoring 59 runs before Dexter was bowled by Scott Styris.

Stevens went on to score a Twenty20 personal best of 66 before a fifth wicket partnership of 36 between Matthew Walker and Tyron Henderson set the Crusaders a total of 183 to chase.

Within an over on the Crusaders response opener Ed Smith was caught by Marrtin Van Jaarsveld off the bowling of Andrew Hall without scoring.

A third wicket partnership of 63 between Owais Shah and Scott Styris looked to have set the Crusaders on course for victory but man of the match Min Patel captured four wickets as the Crusaders fell behind the required run rate and ended 17 runs a drift.
