Somerset v Warwickshire

Somerset's hold on the Twenty20 Cup looks to be slipping after being given a taste of their own medicine by Warwickshire at sun-baked Taunton.
The visitors smashed their way to a seven-wicket victory with 22 balls to spare as Jonathan Trott (45 not out) and Mike Powell (36 not out) led them to 169 for three.
Andy Caddick was hammered for 51 off three overs at the start of the innings by Neil Carter (29 off 11 balls) and Mark Wagh (30 off 11).
Somerset had fallen short of an adequate total after winning the toss.
From a promising 132 for three they collapsed to 167 for seven off their 20 overs as Heath Streak (two for 25) and Alex Loudon (two for 21) applied pressure with Justin Langer top-scoring on 45.
The result means the holders have won just one of their first four group fixtures and
Warwickshire now look a better bet to qualify after leapfrogging them with this win.
In their previous home game in the competition Somerset had blasted a world-record total of 250 against Gloucestershire.
This time they were on the receiving end as Carter and Wagh tore into opening bowlers Caddick and Charl Willoughby.
The 50 came up in only the third over and at the end of the fielding restrictions Warwickshire were 83 for two from six overs, having put the result beyond reasonable doubt.
From 92 for three when Jim Troughton was dismissed for 23, Trott and Powell could
afford to coast to victory.
But they also helped themselves to plenty of boundaries against some friendly bowling.
Every Somerset bowler suffered with the exception of off-spinner Wes Durston, who was amazingly taken out of the attack having bowled two overs for seven.
Earlier, Langer and Matt Wood had given Somerset a good start with an opening stand of 81 in 10 overs.
Cameron White then hit three towering sixes in making 33 off 20 balls, but the rest of the batting fell away badly.
Loudon got the key wicket of Langer, well caught by Ian Westwood at long-off, and also removed Durston in an excellent four-over spell from
the River End.
Carter was named man of the match for his lightning 29 at the start of Warwickshire's reply, having taken nought for 33 from four overs.
