Abdul Razzaq released by ICL

Abdul Razzaq has become the latest Pakistani player to be released by the Indian Cricket League, clearing the hurdle in his return to the mainstream cricket.

The all-rounder has submitted the No Objection Certificate (NOC), he got from the rebel league, with the Pakistan Cricket Board.

"The NOC has been submitted with the Board now it is up to them to decide what to do," he said.

Razzaq, 29, before aligning with the ICL played 46 Tests and 231 one-dayers.

He has also performed well for the Lahore Lions team in the ongoing National T20 Championship.

Sources close to the ICL players disclosed that players like Imran Nazir, Rana Naved, Imran Farhat, Hasan Raza, Mohammad Sami are also interested in coming back to the PCB fold and have spoken to former captains Inzamam-ul-Haq and Moin Khan regarding their future with the ICL.

"These players also want to play for Pakistan again and have requested Inzamam and Moin to handle the issue and get the NOC`s from the unofficial league for them as required by the board," one source said.

PCB has already made it clear that Chairman Ejaz Butt would decide on what penalties should be imposed on the players before taking them back.
