Pakistan middle order batsman Misbah-ul Haq was bought by Bangalore IPL team in the second players' auction which is going on in Mumbai.
Bangalore spent Rs 50 lakh for Misbah. In this second round, franchise owners would spend the money left after the first auction to bid for international players.
Australia's Shane Watson and Pakistani batsmen Mohammad Yousuf are among 25 internationals who are up for grabs. The bids would commence at a base price of $50,000.
The organisers announced that members of India's World Cup winning under-19 squad would be chosen on the draft format like the NBA on a one-year contract fixed at $30,000. Virat Kohli and his boys will come up for selection through a draft system alongside the secondary auction on March 20.
No trading of players would be allowed until the end of the season. The minimum fee for Ranji Trophy and non-auction players has been fixed at $50,000 per season while under-22 players will receive $20,000 for the same period.
The auction will be conducted by professional auctioneer Richard Madley who will be the sole arbiter to all aspects of the auction.
