Chennai Super Kings coach Kepler Wessels today said his side has left behind the shock defeat at the hands of Bangalore Royal Challengers and was confident of booking a semifinal berth by beating Rajasthan Royals in tomorrow's Indian Premier League match.
Needing to win one of the two remaining matches to make the semifinal grade, Wessels said his team has the wherewithal to beat the table toppers Royals and seal their berth in the semifinals.
"It is an excellent opportunity for us to measure ourselves against the tournament's top team. We can beat them, we are not under any pressure although I am aware that we need to win one of the two remaining games to qualify for the semifinals," said Wessels.
"You have to look ahead not thinking about the past but learn your mistakes. When we were at full strength, we won the first four games and on losing a few key players, we lost some matches," the former South Africa captain said when asked about the loss to Bangalore team.
"More importantly, we always remained in the top four. At the start of the IPL, our two goals were to win as many matches as possible and also develop local cricketers.
"In Twenty20, you got to be on your feet and you cannot conform to a set order. You cannot win all 14 matches, but it is important to see where and when you went wrong, and move on," he added.
Wessels revealed that there would be one change in the team composition tomorrow and also some tinkering in batting order.
