Former Hampshire county cricketer Sean Morris has been handed the task of developing the Rajasthan Royals fan base around the world after being appointed the first Chief Executive Officer of the Royals franchise.
Morris, who left his role as the chief executive of the Professional Cricketers’ Association in October will assume immediate responsibility for the Royals, he will be focused on the development of the Royals brand outside of India.

"The Rajasthan Royals are a huge success story and I am thrilled to be joining such a progressive and successful organization. On the field they are the most innovative and charismatic IPL side and have developed a huge international following." said Morris.

"The vision and professionalism of the Club is second to none, and I look forward to working with the players, the board, our sponsors and the fans to build on the huge achievements so far."

The hiring of Morris will allow Royals chairman Manoj Badaler to stand down from the position of temporary CEO, a role he was holding since the launch of the franchise in 2007.

"Sean represents a great addition to the outstanding existing management team. He brings a strong mix of skills, and a real enthusiasm for the IPL. His international experience and relationships afford us great scope to continue to build the brand across the world."
