97 cricketers to take part in IPL auction

Ninety-seven cricketers have applied to take part in the IPL player auction which takes place on Tuesday, January 19th in Mumbai ahead of IPL 3.0 in March.
The total includes twenty-six Pakistani cricketers who have registered their names for the auction including Umar Akmal and teenage bowling sensation Mohammed Aamer.

Four players from Associate countries have decided to put their names into the auction as well. Canadians Rizwan Cheema and Khurram Chohan will join Dutchman Ryan ten Doeschate and Irelands Niall O'Brien.

After staring in last years Twenty20 Champions League for Trinidad and Tobago West Indies all rounder Kieron Pollard will be in high demand and could be the most expensive player to be signed.

A number of former ICL players are included in the auction as well including Shane Bond, Damien Martyn, Chris Cairns, Saqlain Mushtaq and Justin Kemp.
