The Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils will be going head to head in tomorrows' IPL player auction in order to capture the New Zealand pace bowler Shane Bond.
Bond, who spent two years in the international wilderness after joining the Indian Cricket League is in high demand by a number of franchises with the Knight Riders and Daredevils set for a bidding war to capture the Kiwi.
The Daredevils are a prime location for the Bond who spent two years playing for the ICL's Delhi Giants. The Delhi based franchise are looking for a pace bowler to partner Ashish Nehra after they bought out the contract of Glenn McGrath.
The Knight Riders are in a similar position and see Bond as a perfect fit to replace Pakistan's Umar Gul and Shoaib Akhtar who were unable to gain the nessacrey Visa to enter India.
