The stage is set for the third IPL player auction at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai where 66 players will wait and learn their fate with stars like Kieron Pollard and Shahid Afridi expected to be the star buys.
The pair will be in the first round of the auction and are set to go for the maximum price allowed of $750,000. If more then one franchise bid $750,000 for either player there will be a 'silent tiebreaker' which will see each franchise write the extra amount they're willing to spend on the cricketer on a piece of paper and the franchise with the highest will be allowed to buy the player.

The extra amount - anything more than the stipulated $750,000 - will go to the Indian Premier League!
