Kiwi Jesse Ryder has pulled of the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad for this years IPL as he continues to struggle with a groin injury.
Ryder's injury is taking longer than expected to heal and the Kiwi batsman has decided to pull out of the IPL in order to be fit for the Twenty20 World Cup at the start of May.

Aaron Klee, Ryder's agent told stuff.co.nz "Jesse is understandably disappointed about not going to India for the IPL, but he is realistic about returning too early and aggravating his groin injury."

"He is better to be completely recovered and play a full tournament in the West Indies than risk rushing back to play IPL and jeopardising his involvement in both tournaments," he added.
