Defending IPL champions the Deccan Chargers have sent out a warning to the other 7 IPL franchises warning them they will defend their crown aggressively.
The Chargers beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 runs to claim last years IPL title and skipper Adam Gilchrist said they will attack, attack, attack during this months IPL.
"Aggressive approach works. Thatís how cricket is played these days, itís attack, attack, attack" said Gilchrist at a Chargers promotional event this week.
"We understand that last year has gone by and everyone starts on an even keel now, you are only as good as your last innings, and my last one was a second-ball duck... Iíve got to start again" he added.
Chargers coach Darren Lehmann feels his team isnít under any pressure despite starting the season as one of the favourites to win IPL 3.0 saying "We donít want to think about the past but concentrate on the future".
"We will continue with the brand of cricket we have been playing. We have a great team spirit, hopefully we will come out on top" he added.
The Chargers have had a busy winter strengthening their squad with new signings Kemar Roach and Australian U-19 World Cup winning captain Mitchell Marsh both expected to figure in the starting eleven.
