Kolkata Knight Riders captain Sourav Ganguly has been fined US$20,000 by the IPL for his sides slow over rate during their 11 run victory over the Deccan Chargers at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
The Knight Riders upset the defending Champions thanks to a 130 run partnership between Owais Shah and Angelo Matthews which allowed Ganguly’s side to fit their way back onto the game after losing two early wickets.

The Knight Riders were adjudged to have bowled three overs less then the required overs rate and in accordance with the IPL’s Code of Conduct match referee Andy Pycroft fined Ganguly.
