The IPL have fined Kings XI Punjab bowler Sreesanth $9,000 for show dissent towards the umpire during his sides 9 wicket defeat against the Rajasthan Royals.
Sreesanth pleaded guilty to a Level 1 offence (Article 2.1.3), which relates to "showing dissent at an umpire’s decision".

The incident took place in the third over of the Royals run chase after Sreesanth had been hit for a boundary by Lumb off a free-hit after the bowler had bowled two successive no balls.

Sreesanth turned to the batsman and sarcastically applauded Lumb before repeating the gesture to the umpire as the bowler started to lose his discipline.
