With such a small run chase the Kings XI got off to slow start, needing just over 1 run per ball openers Mahela Jayawardene and Irfan Pathan took their time to build an opening partnership of 41 before Pathan (12) was dismissed by Amit Mishra.

Although Jayawardene (38) soon followed Kumar Sangakkara and Yuvraj Singh lead the Kings XI to a crushing victory.

David Warner and Gautam Gambhir battled back with a second wicket partnership of 35 before the DareDevils skipper was needlessly run out after Warner called for a nonexistent single and then changed is mind leaving Gambhir (26) stranded in the middle of the wicket.

The run out of Gambhir was the catalyst for a DareDevils batting collapse as Warner (6) ran himself out two balls later to leave the home side rocking.

Paul Collingwood (4), Daniel Vettori (2) and Dinesh Karthik (17) soon followed as the impressive Piyush Chawla ripped through the middle order claiming two wickets to reduce the DareDevils to 76-6.

Yuvraj Singh struck with the last ball of the 14th over to remove Rajat Chatia (1) before Love Ablich bowled Faveez Maharoof (0) with the first ball of the next over to leave the home side 82-8.

The DareDevils passed the Rajasthan Royals score of 92, the lowest total in this years IPL as Mithun Manhas and Amit Mishra offered some resistant’s bringing up the 100 in the 17th over.
