Royal Challengers too defensive in run chase

Despite having restricted the Deccan Chargers to a score of just 151-6 Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Anil Kumble feels his side were too defensive during their run chase..
The Royal Challengers were bowled out for 138 after suffering a lower order collapse after Rahul Dravid and Jacques Kallis shared a second wicket stand of 74.

Having reduced the Chargers to 13-3 after Dale Steyn took three quick wickets the Royal Challengers let the defending champions off the hock.

"Dale Steyn bowled brilliantly upfront, I thought 150 was chaseable, really disappointing to lose. They bowled well but I thought we were too defensive in the middle overs," said Kumble.

"You can't expect Robin to win every game for us, Rahul did give us the initial impetus but things fell apart in the end," he added.
