Virat Kohli has become the latest world class player retained by his IPL franchise after the Royal Challengers Bangalore decided to keep the in form batsman who has been in excellent form for India during the recent ODI series against New Zealand.
Other players who secured their places in next years IPL after being retained on the final day deadline include Harbhajan Singh, Kieron Pollard and Lasith Malinga.

The teams will lose $1.8 million from the auction pool for the first player retained and $1.3 million for the second player. The third will cost the team $900,000 and the fourth $500,000.
