A host of world class players will go under the hammer in Bangalore on Saturday, January 8th and Sunday January 9th as the 10 franchises look to rebuild their teams ahead of the fourth edition of the mega rich tournament.
"The DLF IPL auction is indeed a very exciting prospect. I am confident that IPL fans throughout India and across the world will be paying very close attention to which of the world's best cricketers will be wearing their teams colours for the next IPL season," said IPL Chairman Chirayu Amin.
350 of the world’s best cricketers, including Indians Sourav Ganguly, Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra and RP Singh will be hoping to strike in rich.
Unsurprisingly it’s England’s Twenty20 World Cup winning side which will generate the most interest with Kevin Pietersen, James Anderson, Graeme Swann, Stuart Broad, Luke Wright and Michael Yardy all included.
Other players who will be in high demand include New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori, Ross Taylor and wicketkeeper batsman Brendon McCullum.
