Yuvraj Singh to skipper the Pune Warriors

Big hitting Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh has been announced as the Pune Warriors skipper ahead of their inaugural season in the Indian Premier League.
Having previously skippered the Kings XI Punjab during the first two IPL tournaments Yuvraj will be an experienced leader for the Warriors as they look to make an impact during their first season.

The 29 year old will be able to call on the services of Proteas skipper Graeme Smith, Kiwi opener Jesse Ryder and Sri Lanka all rounder Angelo Mathews who were all brought by the Warriors during Januarys player auction.

The Warriors start their IPL campaign against the Kings XI Punjab on Sunday, April 10th at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.
