Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli has won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Kolkata Knight Riders in a vital game for both teams at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
Both teams will be looking to strengthen their chances of securing a place in the IPL play offs with victory today; the winner will also stay in contention for a top two finish.
The Royal Challengers come into the game on the back of a six game winning streak which as seen them move up the group standings after a disappointing start to the tournament.
The home side can move to the top of the group standings with a win while the Knight Riders, who haven’t played since last Saturday will be looking to increase their own four game winning streak with victory over the Royal Challengers.
Kohli will once again lead the Royal Challengers after Daniel Vettori returned home to New Zealand to consult a knee specialist over the injury which kept him out of his sides 9 wicket victory over the Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday night.

The Knight Riders meanwhile have made no changes to the team which beat the Chennai Super Kings by 10 runs last weekend in a rain shortened match at Eden gardens.
