Sangakkara wins the toss, Chargers bowl first

Deccan Chargers skipper Kumar Sangakkara has won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Pune Warriors in a vital game for the home side at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.
Amazingly, having lost 7 straight games the Warriors still have a mathematical chance of reaching the play offs but that would involve the Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab losing their remaining group games.

The Chargers meanwhile have nothing to play for other then team pride; they come into the game having won just four games but they’ll be full of confidence after their 10 run victory over the Mumbai Indians on Saturday night.

The Chargers have dropped Michael Lumb after just one game, the Englishman is replaced by South African Dale Steyn while Mithun Manhas replaces Srikant Wagh for the Warriors.
