Vettori hoping bowlers will perform better

Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Daniel Vettori is backing his bowlers to bounce back after their disappointing performance against the Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday night.
The defending champions booked their place in Saturday’s final thanks to Suresh Riana and Albie Morkel who smashed an unbelievable 46 runs from just 18 balls to seal a dramatic victory with just two deliveries to spare.

Despite the dramatic collapse, the Kiwi is hopeful his bowlers can led the Royal Challengers to victory over the Mumbai Indians and secure a place in tomorrow nights final against the Super kings.

"We realised small things that went wrong in the last five overs. Prior to that everything went as per plans. We are looking at the game tomorrow. We will probably go with same team but with slight improvements in the bowling," said Vettori.

"Our batting has been pretty good in the whole tournament and sooner or later the bowling will come good as well," he added.

The Kiwi also denied the Royal Challengers were too reliant on Chris Gayle, despite almost single handedly propelling the team to the playoffs after arriving almost half way through the tournament.

"We know Chris has played well and he has been the main scorer for us this season, winning so many games for us. But we have other batsmen like Virat Kohli who have stepped up and performed when needed," said Vettori.

"So if Gayle has an off-day, we are still confident that we can win games."
