All eyes on Bangalore for IPL player auction

The player auction for this years Indian Premier League will take place on Saturday, February 4th at the ITC Royal Gardenia Hotel in Bangalore.
Included in the auction will be the players previously signed by the Kochi Tuskers Kerala after the franchise was terminated by IPL governing council for breaching its terms of agreement.

The auction which starts at 11.00 am IST will be conducted by Richard Madley.

Speaking ahead of the event, IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla said "Fans of the sport, based in India and elsewhere, will be following the happenings with a lot of interest."

"The auction sets the stage for what promises to be an absorbing fifth season of the tournament. The developments during the first trading window have given us an idea of the varied approaches that the teams have adopted for the forthcoming season," he added.

"The Auction will give us a deeper insight into the same."
