The Chennai Super Kings bounced back from their defeat against the Mumbai Indians thanks to a crushing 74 run victory over the hapless Deccan Chargers at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
Faced with a victory target of 194, the Chargers collapsed to just 119 all out, thanks in part to Ravindra Jadeja who tore through the home sides middle order to leave the 2009 champions facing a heavy defeat.
Daniel Harris (15) and Shikhar Dhawan (21) got the Chargers run chase off to a posistive start but once the pair had been dismissed the Super Kings started to take control of the match.
Parthiv Patel (20) and Cameron White (23) quickly followed before Jadeja (5-16) struck to leave the outcome of the match firmly in the hands of the defending champions who recorded an impressive total of 193-6.
Jadeja (48) lead the way with the bat but it was West Indian Dwayne Bravo who stole the show as he smashed five sixes during a 18 ball innings which saw him score 43 runs to leave the Chargers facing a mammoth run chase.
