The Mumbai Indians stuttering form was boosted after a dramatic four wicket victory over the Kings XI Punjab at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali.
The Indians looked on course for defeat until Piyush Chawla conceded 27 runs in the penultimate to leave the visitors needing just five runs from the final over.

Ambati Rayudu (34) and Robin Peterson (16) lead the visitors home with a 7th wicket stand of 36 to snatch victory away from the Kings XI who looked on course for the win before Chawla conceded two boundaries and three sixes in the 19th over.

Despite having a number of big hitting batsman in their squad the Indians top order failed to fire again in their attempts to chase down the Kings XIs total of 168-3.

Rohit Sharma was the only bright spot thanks to a quick fire half century but with no other batsman offering support the Indians looked on course for defeat before Rayudu and Peterson though back.

Stand in skipper David Hussey lead the way for the home side scoring 68 from 40 deliveries including four boundaries and four sixes to help the home side take control of the match.

David Miller (34) and Mandeep Singh offered support but it proved to be in vain as the Indians stunned the home crowd by snatching victory with one ball to spare.
