Gautam Gambhir scored a patient half century to help the Kolkata Knight Riders seal a five wicket victory against the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The Knight Riders skipper played the perfect innings to help his side secure victory; Gambhir scored six boundaries and one six during his 63 ball innings as the visitors chase down the Super Kings total of 139-5.

Jacques Kallis (26) and Yusuf Pathan (12) offered support as the visitors seal victory with two deliveries left thanks to a boundary from Debabrata Das (11) to spark wild celebrations in the Knight Riders dug out.

It proved to be another disappointing day for the defending champions after they slipped to a fifth defeat in ten games as they stuttering campaign continued against the Knight Riders.

Suresh Raina (44) and MS Dhoni (34) lead the way but with little support coming from the rest of the line up the Super Kings posted a below par total of 139-5 which proved not enough thanks to a skippers innings from Gambhir.
