The Deccan Chargers made it two wins in three games after a 13 run victory over the Pune Warriors at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack to kick start their stuttering tournament.
The home side proved to be a thorn in the Warriors side as they recorded their second victory over the Warriors in the space of five days after they defended a total of 186-4.

Steven Smith (47), Sourav Ganguly (45) and Michael Clarke (41) lead the run chase but the slumping Warriors came up just short after they were restricted to a total of 173-5.

Recalled skipper Kumar Sangakkara proved to be the hero thanks to a quick fire 82 from 52 deliveries which included 10 boundaries and two sixes.

Cameron White offered support with 74 runs including four sixes to help the Chargers post a competitive total which proved too much for the Warriors to chase down.
