Shane Watson, Johan Botha and Shaun Tait each picked up two wickets to help the Rajasthan Royals seal a 43 run victory over the Kings XI Punjab Punjab at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali.
The trio lead the way to help the Royals successfully defend a total of 177-6 to record their fifth victory to stay in the hunt for a place in the IPL play offs after the Kings XI were restricted to a total of just 134-8.
Shaun Marsh (34) and Azhar Mamood (24) lead the run chase but wickets falling at regular intervals the home side were unable to keep p with the required run rate as they slipped to their 6th defeat of the tournament.
It proved to be a successful day for the Royals after visiting skipper Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to bat first and he watched as his side posted an impressive total.
The skipper lead the way, scoring 46 runs before he was dismissed by Ryan Harris (4-34) in the 14th over; Shane Watson (36), Brad Hodge (36) and Ashok Menaria (34) all offered support to help the Royals seal victory.
