The Kings XI Punjab kept their IPL play offs hopes alive thanks to a six wicket victory over the Chennai Super Kings at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
Fit again Adam Gilchrist (64) lead the way with a well play half century as he help side chase down the Super Kings victory target of 121 with 22 balls to spare.
The victory keeps alive the Kings XI play off hopes but they will need to win their final match against the Delhi DareDevils on Saturday and hope other matches go their way.
The Super Kings meanwhile face the prospect of being knocked out of the race for a place in the play offs if the Royal Challengers Bangalore win both of their remaining matches.
It proved to be a disappointing day for the visitors after they were restricted to a total of just 120-7 after being put into bat by fight again Kings XI skipper Adam Gilchrist.
Dwayne Bravo offered some hope with a top score of 48 but with wickets falling at regular intervals the Super Kings never really got the innings going as the Kings XI took control of the match.
