Rampant Indians cruise to ten wicket victory

The Mumbai Indians ended the IPL group stages with a comprehensive ten wicket victory over the Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
The Indians were faced with a victory target of 163 but Sachin Tendulkar (58) and Dwayne Smith (87) made sure the visitors wouldn’t slip up as they recorded victory with 12 balls to spare.

With a place in the playoffs already assured, the Indians swept to victory to go into their clash against the Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday night at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur in fine form.

It proved to be a disappointing end to the tournament for the Royals who lost their last two games after going into the final week of the group stages still with a chance of securing a place in the playoffs.

Shane Watson (45) and Stuart Binny (30) led the way but with wickets falling at regular intervals the Royals were restricted to a total of 162-6 which in the end proved not enough.
