ICC blamed for empty stands

Source -

Former Australian captain, Steve Waugh, feels the International Cricket Council (ICC) and organisers of the event should have made effort to attract local people and youngsters to the empty stands.

Waugh said the Caribbean is a great place to play cricket and it was his favourite place in the world to play cricket however the spirit of Caribbean culture is missing during the World Cup matches.

He went on to add that the high ticket prices and restriction on music instruments into the grounds dampened the local participation in the matches.
