Rain washes out 3rd ODI

The third and final India-Bangladesh One-Day International match could not take place due to wet and soggy outfield following the overnight rains at Chittagong.

Umpires Ashoka de Silva and Enamul Haque Moni inspected the ground three times before reaching on this decision.

Silva said that the ground was very soggy and the groundsmen would need another couple of hours before play can begin. Even a Twenty20 match would not be possible, as it would be too late to begin.

Heavy overnight rain waterlogged the Ruhul Amin stadium and more rains have been forecast for the rest of the week, putting the first Test too under threat.

The match was of only academic interest with India having taken an unassailable 2-0 lead. They won the first One-dayer by five wickets and the second by 46 runs. Both the matches were played at Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.
