England batsman Ian Bell is doubtful for the upcoming Twenty20 and one-day internationals against the West Indies with a groin problem.

An England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) statement on Tuesday said Bell had sustained the injury during fielding practice on Monday.

The statement added: "Ian Bell underwent an ultrasound scan today (Tuesday) and has a minor grade one tear to his left groin following fielding practice Monday. He'll continue to be assessed."

England play the first of two back-to-back Twenty20 internationals against the West Indies at The Oval on Thursday.

The teams then play three full one-day internationals at Lord's on Sunday, 1 July, Edgbaston on Wednesday, 4 July and Trent Bridge on Saturday, 7 July.
