Dhoni keen for fresh start in relationship

Mahendra Dhoni is keen to draw a line under the ill-tempered Test series against Australia as he skippers India in the one-day games.

The sub-continental giants take on the Aussies in a Twenty20 match on Friday with Dhoni taking the captain's armband from Anil Kumble, who has flown back to India, along with fellow veterans Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid.

The hard-hitting wicket-keeper-batsman will then lead the Indians in a triangular 50-over tournament involving the hosts and Sri Lanka, and he wants to forget about the unsavoury incidents in the recent Test series and just play hard but fair cricket.

"We don't really care about whatever has happened so far. It's a fresh start," he said. "There's always chit-chat going on between the players.

"If nothing controversial is said, I think both the teams will be happy with it."
