Matthew Hayden (107) scored Australia's first century of the Ashes tour, while Damien Martyn (85) and Andrew Symonds (92 not out) smashed a 136-run fourth wicket stand from 18 overs.
Symonds clobbered three sixes and 10 fours in a brutal 59-ball knock and could be one of his side's trump cards against England at the Rose Bowl.
The Australians were just as impressive with the ball, as Brett Lee took 1-32, Glenn McGrath 2-33 and left-arm wrist spinner Brad Hogg collected 3-56 through the middle stage of the innings.
Former West Indies player Ottis Gibson scored 50 for Leicestershire after taking 2-65 with the ball.
